Maple Bacon Croissant is filled with maple cream with bits of bacon inside. On the outside, there is a maple syrup glaze and more bacon. I loved the large bacon chunks on top and went really well with the croissant.

The Maple Bacon Croissants ... weren't bad at all. The croissants had a sweet custard-like filling, a piece of bacon on each end of the horn with minced bacon sprinkled on top of a sweet glaze ... We give props to Brenda for being very receptive to constructive criticisms and new ideas. If you are in the area and looking for a snack, give it a try.

The croissant had a perfect flaky texture and tasted buttery and fresh. It was simple but very good. It makes such a difference with baked goods when they are fresh and I think that’s what made it stand out from other croissants I’ve had.

The outside was very delicate and crispy with its light glaze. The inside was really soft. It wasn’t super heavy on the butter, but I could still taste it quite well.

In my opinion, the croissants are worth a trip downtown because they are unlike any croissants I have tasted before. The shell is crispy and the bread inside is amazingly soft and buttery without being overly greasy.

Ah, the humble croissant. The mere mention of this buttery treat often gets peoples’ mouths salivating in anticipation, conjuring up images of leisurely afternoons in a Parisian cafe. Sadly, most North Americans are acquainted with the additive-laden croissants sold in the supermarkets and big chain cafes. Fresh Out of the Oven Croissant (aka Footo Croissant), new to Homer Street near the Vancouver Public Library, is hoping to familiarize Vancouverites with croissants as they were meant to be tasted.
